LOS ANGELES, Oct. 4, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- "#WhatsHappening," produced by global indie studio Propagate, is set to start streaming live on Twitter on Monday, October 9th.  The daily prime time series will be available from Monday-Friday at 8pm ET/5pm PT.

The show will deliver the most relevant stories, Tweets, GIFs, clips and conversations from TV, film, comedy, sports, politics and pop culture.  Welcome to the fastest, funniest and most relevant 20 minutes of your day.  Welcome to "#WhatsHappening." Bree Essrig joins the series as host.  Essrig has starred in thousands of videos on Youtube channels such as Break, Funny or Die, BlackBoxTV, What's Trending and more.  She has served as host on Discovery Digital Network's popular news and pop culture channel, SourceFed, and writes, acts and produces for DDN's sketch comedy channel, Nuclear Family.

The series will be available live worldwide on Twitter and connected devices and can be viewed via @HappeningDaily.

The all-new Toyota Camry has joined "#WhatsHappening" as Presenting Sponsor and will power the "Feel of the Day" segment which looks at the Tweets, content and clips that sparked the most emotional responses on Twitter.  "Feel of the Day" will take a closer look at a Twitter thread - where it started, who weighed in, how celebrities reacted and what the best comments were. "#WhatsHappening" will join the conversation, live-Tweeting our own reaction.

"Twitter is at the center of every cultural conversation, with a global community of users who are quick to create instant trends through funny, smart and poignant comments," said Ben Silverman and Howard T. Owens, co-CEOs of Propagate.  "'#WhatsHappening' will identify those big moments for viewers, and join the conversation."

"This live show will deliver the best of what's happening in pop culture alongside the real time Twitter conversation to people around the world," said Todd Swidler, Global Head of Live Video Business at Twitter. "We are excited for Propagate to bring their fresh approach to a live entertainment show on our platform."

"Toyota is excited to be the Presenting Sponsor of #WhatsHappening," said Nancy Inouye, national media manager, Toyota Motor North America. "Just as Toyota's guests appreciate innovation and entertainment, #WhatsHappening explores compelling and cutting-edge content on Twitter and we look forward to bringing this to a worldwide audience together."
